Kinamat Restobar

One of the best things in life are free... And yes thank you to my sissy for treating us dinner the other night. I just want to share this restobar here in Angono Rizal, they serve a very Filipino food which is "budbod", a rice toping wrapped in banana leaves. KINAMAT Restobar serves a good "budbod" in town. The owner name is Mat and kina means "to" which means "to Mat" , so if you were to ask in tagalog, "san tau kakain? and replied "kina mat". So that's were the name came from....brilliant idea!!!

Bytheway here is the menu list of Kinamat Restobar

The prices are very affordable and the food is good as well.
Also their must try food is mixed pancit canton and bihon...it is very satisfying one.

I must say that it is a recommendable place to dine with your family and friends.

Progressive or Traditional School?

This coming school year will be exciting for us, because our son Elie will be starting his school. I have some list of schools near our place and it seems that those schools are progressive schools and some are traditional schools. But syempre what I want for my Elie is a progressive school. I could see Elie's skills naman eh and it seems na kaya nya makipagsabayan sa mga kids na nagkinder na. When his at age two he can count 1-10 in English, Filipino and Spanish...And he is very curious in all things, especially when it comes to cars and trucks.
Yun nga lang mukang mamumulubi kami kapag pinasok namin sya sa ganung school.
I am eyeing this school CHILD JESUS of PRAGUE in Binangonan, I've heard positive feedbacks compare to other schools here. Although medyo pricey sya. I also learn that this school is a progressive type kaya im sure okay kay elie pumasok dun. Ang problem lang is malayo since were from Muzon Taytay. Isa lang naiisip ko na school na progressive type, ST. MARTIN MONTESSORI SCH., malapit lang saamin. Anyway, I still have to find out which is better for my son. And I still have more time to make some inquiries sa mga schools.
OMG malayo pa ang school year ngayon pa lang stress na ko kakahanap ng best school...
I hope by the time na papasok na si bagets ko sana financially ready na din kami ni hubby ko....

Sana ganun din kayo mga mommies.

Being a Stay-At-Home Mom....

Being a stay-at-home mom is never easy, I know its a cliche' but most of you would agree on me,... but what if I say that being a stay-at-home mom is very easy job and its easy as a pie...well I guess you won't agree, right?.
I've been a stay-at-home mom since my first born child came, I
didn't choose it but I guess this is fate. To take care of my children. The more I wanted to go back to work, the more chance of having a badluck, hehe. And so, I got nothing to choose but to be a SAHM. At the start of being SAHM, I was really having a good time taking care of my son, I enjoyed it and loving it too much...but as the weeks, months and years gone by, I was starting to missed working. I get bored in what I am doing, I love taking care of my son, I loved reading him books, dance and played with him but there's something in me that I really wanted to do and that is working in the office. I've talked to my husband about it and ofcourse he loved the idea of me going back to work but the big question is who will take care of our beloved son ELIJAH.
My husband and I don't like the idea of getting a maid or a "yaya" to take care of our baby since we heard so much about the "yaya hurting the baby, etc"...which we avoided. So we left no choice but I will take care of our baby.

And so years has passed, I got pregnant and now we have a daughter, we named her ERIN DOMINIQUE.
And now it seems that It is impossible for me to work...probably work at home but not in the offices. Besides, I am officially breastfeeding mom.
Well to make this short, little did I know that in our daily routine, I was able to do everything without any regrets. I was happy and contented, as if like, I have everything. Which is true! I have a loving husband and two adorable children.
So I can say that it is so easy to be SAHM if you will accept it wholeheartedly and enjoying it!!!

Thanks everyone for having time to read!!!

God Bless Us All!!!

Moms BFF

When you say SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) doesn't mean you will forget your self and just focus on taking care of your family.
Ofcourse you also need to take care of yourself, and part of that is to be beautiful inspite of doing all the chores inside the house while taking care of the children. As a woman we need to be beautiful inside and out.
Are you wondering why there are some husbands who cheated on their wives? Do you sometimes feel that you lost your self esteem? Or Sometimes when you look at the mirror you'll see an old lady with fine lines on the forehead?...
Well that is because you tend to forget yourself. You have more time to other things...I'm not saying that you prioritize yourself more than your family or children, what I'm trying to say here is that HAVE TIME FOR YOURSELF EVEN IF YOUR TOO BUSY WITH YOUR FAMILY OR CHILDREN....

I have a quality time for myself and buy things for me.
Whenever theres a chance I passed by a beauty products, I would tend to buy like some lipsticks, or eyeshadow perhaps...
It doesn't matter if I occasionally use it but atleast doing those things and having those simple stuff would make me feel beautiful and boost my self confidence and ofcourse showing to my husband that I am still beautiful inspite of staying at house the whole day.

I want to share some of my bff to boost my self confidence...

Next time I will make a product review of my make-ups... We will start with the lipsticks.

Thanks everyone for taking time to read my blog!

Magic the Gathering

Who says only boys can play card games?!!!

When I met my husband he always talks about this game that I am not really interested to. He even stay up late to his friends house to play this game. Then when we got married, I thought that it would be nice to play this card games with my hubby instead of him going out at night to play with his friends. I thought as a wife it would be much happier if both of us share the things we like. And so one time, I asked him to teach me how to play the game, at first he was hesitant because he knows that I might get bored and won't like the game. And like what the saying goes "kapag ginusto, matututo" And that is what exactly what happen....I learned eventually how does it play.

MAGIC THE GATHERING is an trading card game that is somewhat a fantasy that should need a good strategy.

How does it play? Oh boy, its very crucial to explain, haha...
But I'll try my best to explain how I played and how does my hubby taught me....I play the role of a wizard which is called planes walker, I can cast a spell and help me to destroy other planes walker. I could also destroy other creatures. Players should have atleast 60 pcs or deck cards and not more than...but each player should have only 7 on hand cards.
Normally only two players can play the game but it depends on you guys...
Now, those are the basic steps the rest is up to the player strategy.

I just want to share with you SOME of my husbands card games...

See how many card does my hubby has? Hehe..

I'd rather want him to be addicted playing in this game rather than other not so good games...

Why is the baby Crying?

When I became a mom, honestly I am so scared to death whenever I saw or even hear Elie crying. Because I don't know what to do, I don't even know why is he crying. All I can do is to carry him and sing a lullaby or watch while my mother-in-law carried him.
Then slowly I learned his "cues", meaning I learned from his action why is he crying. When he is hungry, when it is time to change his nappy, or when he just wants to cuddle him.
Each newborn has a same "cues" and from what I've learned you need to really be with him all the time when he needs you.

I found a picture which can help a new mom or a mom to be when taking care of her baby, especially if its time to feed her or him.

Then from this picture I've learned if he is really hungry.

safety first

I, as a mom always secure my kids wherever we go...I always follow wherever they are...but having a toddler and a baby is a challenging job for me, especially whenever we are at the mall. I always keep an eye on my toddler.
And I could say that having a toddler is always testing your patience. Your tots would sometimes scream at the top of their lungs to get the toy that they wanted or sometimes just to get your attention. And most of the time your tots loves to run while you chasing them. I don't have the strength to chase him the whole time inside the mall, so good thing I found this "Tot-A-Long" thing. It looks like a leash of a dog, hehe (excuse me for the term) but it is actually made for kids.

Elie and his lolody wearing the strap

It is really a big help for us (my husband and I) to have this kind of stuff. When Elie outgrown with this, I am positively sure that Erin will also use this strap.
Thanks for those who invented this strap, it is really a big help for me.
Maybe some people, especially here in our country won't like the  idea of this strap, because it looks like you have a dog strolling along with you, but for me it doesn't matter how does it look like as long as I know my kid is with me or within my reach.

"Safety First" that is what my husband and I priority.

Chocomix for Breast feeding Momma....

Many of us are coffee lover, or milk tea addict in the morning...but as for me nothing beats my perfect drink to start of my day, MOTHER NURTURE 7 in 1 CHOCO MIX. It is a perfect drink for a breastfeeding mother like me. It helps me to produce more and more milk for my little one. And the taste is good as a real chocolate, not to sweet and not so bittersweet. It is just the right taste of a good blended chocolate.

For those mom who wants to increase your milk supply, then this is a must have...
You can check mother nurture in their instagram page and you can also avail this from them.

Happy Latching!

Stitch can be fun.

One Saturday night my husband ask me to sew his torn shirt, at first I thought I wouldn't be able to fix it because I know the fact that I'm not good in sewing. Two days ago, I remember while I was cleaning our closet, I found this hand held sewing machine, it was very lightweight and friendly user.
I quickly grabbed it and start sewing my hubby's shirt. It was really easy to use it, like what it really says in the box, you can fix, mend or repair in just a seconds.
It is ideal for a SAHM like me to use it. And one good thing about it, it is also battery operated so where ever I go, in the kitchen, in the living room or in the garden, I sew or stitch all the clothes that needs to be repair....

Happy Stitching!!!

Erin's fave products

Baby's skin is so soft, sensitive and smooth...That is why choosing the right product is very important to me.

Since Erin has a  sensitive skin, I choose Johnson and Johnson products for her delicate skin.
I have tried other baby brands but I would say Johnson and Johnsons knows exactly how babies skin is important.

After taking a bath, these are Erin's essentials...
To keep her skin soft and smooth.

BPO Companies

Most jobs I've seen nowadays is part of a BPO Company, also known as a Call Center Agent, for some they call it Customer Service Relation, But no matter what you call it, it is a job that requires working at night and caters foreign countries.

I have a little knowledge and experience in that kind of job because, me , myself also used to worked in a Call Center Job like with my husband. I somehow know the feelings and the life, that a person who used to work in that field.
I could remember the first time I had that job, I was so excited because I know I would earn more than a regular employee had. I also remember that, for me to keep me awake the whole night(shift), I would drink coffee for like 3 cups in a day, and what is worst is that, I became a chain smoker, which I fight it out (thanked God). I almost remember everything....and that includes our clients who is shouting on the phone, saying harsh words and you can't even talked back...whew!
I feel sorry for myself then that is why I gave up working in a BPO  Company. I know exactly how to be a Call Center Agent. I want to give thumbs up to those mothers and a breast feeding mother who is working in a Call Center Company.

My husband, who is working in a BPO company is also having the same feelings I had, what's worst aside from the night shift schedule is that he is a FATHER, who needs to work not for himself but for us, to give us a good life... It is not easy for him and not only for him but also to other husbands out there who has the same situation...I can not imagine how difficult for him to work at night while us his family is at home, and at day time he needs to sleep while us his family is wide awake...I am just grateful that even though his job is not the usual job (in terms of the schedule)he always finds time for us.
Despite of his schedule, he is still doing his job as a good father and a good husband.
I just wished that, time will come, he doesn't need to work in a BPO company.

How long does a breastmilk would last?

As a breast feeding mom I want to make sure that the breast milk I am giving to my daughter is still good to drink. Many of us always asked that question, unlike if we do fed our baby with a formula milk after an hour or so you can not give it and let drink by your baby.

And so I did my research about that....

With this reminder, I won't get wrong in storing my breast milk.

Babies Food

When my baby Erin turn 6 months, I, as a mother was so excited to feed solid food for her. Obviously, I will not give her foods that we as an adult ate. I have to choose carefully what food should I give her. I make sure that her first solid food is very healthy.

I choose carrots, potato, and squash. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates.

What I normally do is to boiled each of them (sometimes mixed) and then I mashed it and add a little water until the texture becomes thick and easy to swallow.

My daughter loves it especially if its a little bit cold.
She also loves to drink carrot juice, thanks to our maid, she taught me how to make a good and delicious carrots juice.

Need a Break !!!

This past few days the weather is really unbearable...even at night, it is so hard to get a good sleep. Good thing that there are some cool places to go to even at night....

Since I became a mom, I stop thinking of going out at night and go to some bars with friends and stay out until the wee hour, well, I'd say that I used to be liked that but yeah, not anymore....

And so, when my sisters asked me to come along with them to have a dinner and to unwind, I have to admit that I missed that, I excitedly jumped out and gladly said YES to their invitation. But ofcourse, I know you were thinking of whose going to take care of my two rascals...the answer is, I tagged them along with me. A 3 year old boy and a 8 months old baby girl...I was thinking that, I won't enjoy the night and my dinner without my rascals. Anyway, the invitations is not to hang out but rather to have a dinner. Right?!.

We went to Antipolo where there are some good resto that has an over looking view of the metro...Since I didn't know and not familiar with the place, my sister told that us that this bar and resto that we are going to is good rather than the other one.

I could say no doubt that the place is good...nice ambiance...very relaxing and cold...not forget to mention that it rained during our stay in that bar, but that was after we had dinner then...

We ordered sinigang na hipon, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and pansit bihon. Simple dishes but it is good and same with the price :-)

We were also surprise by the fire dancer, even my son Elijah had an photo with one of the dancer.

What a brave kuya Elie!!!

It is much happy to know that even if we have our own kiddos and our own family, we as a mother, we shoud also have time for ourselves. Go on go out with your friends, recharge yourself...Because you need a break!

Summer 2015 at CME (Club Manila East)

Summer is not yet over....that is why my family and I decided to have fun somewhere near our place and we all agreed to go to CME (Club Manila East)...And it's just 30 mins drive from our place (Binangonan).
We arrived at 10 in the morning, so basically there were few people buying their tickets at the counter area.
Entrance fee is 375 per person and for kids 3 feet below is free of charge. They have 160 Cabanas, 68 Beach view cabins and 10 huts. Since all cabanas are taken and some are reserved the only choices we had was the beach view cabin and the hut. We choose the beach view cabin which cost 700 but cabanas is 1,500.

The place and the pools are very big and not forget to mention that it is not crowded as what we are expecting since it is still summer.

They have kiddie pool with waterfalls and fountains, Sun screen pool, Giant slide pool with 3 looped slide, 6 lane Lap pool, Bean pool, Buzzy River (although when we were there it is under maintenance), and ofcourse their Beach and Ocean waves pool.

We had so much fun in the Ocean waves pool it is like a real wave from the Ocean and same thing in the Beach waves. Waters is really strong that no matter what you do, you will be tumbled. I guess I'm not the only one who had so much fun, even my 8 months old daughter. And YES...ELIE really enjoyed so much...he even tried to play in the waves...cool...such a brave kid.

Too bad, the management is very strict that they don't allow foods and drinks inside the place not unless you'll buy from their own concessioner. The price of the food inside the CME is very pricey, so for me, as a mother and being practical,...In our case, we had our own food and left it in our car, so we went out for awhile to have lunch.
I guess were not the only one who did the same thing....haha!

After a long day of going to the mall with the kiddos, we decided to eat a Korean delish...ofcourse one of my fave is their bulgogi with japchae on the side. It's so yummy and sweet. No wonder why more people line up and tried their bulgogi.

Problem with constipated child

My son Elijah Franco who will turn 4 years old this Sept suffered from constipation. At first I thought he just need to drink lots of water and it will be soon gone. As days, nights, weeks and months passed, I noticed that he is not constant in going to the loo, and everytime he poop its just small amount, though he eats a lot.
Then I get to worried about him, we brought him to the doctor and advised us to give him "prunes" or "prune juice", Elie must have not enough fiber intake.

So this is what we bought...

Suprisingly the taste is good...but for my sweet Elie, he doesn't like the taste, so I added a little water and sugar, for him to like it. After 2 days of drinking it, Elie has a successful poop, hehe.

Another grocery item listed...

Biscuits for 6 months and up

I wanted to give something new for my Erin and I am tired of giving her the same old "meryenda" snacks that she usually ate...like cerelac perhaps. One time while I'm doing my grocery, I passed by in this aisle where I usually see some baby stuff's and I saw this biscuit box named "bibibon", I was curious what it was so I picked one box and read the ingredients. And It says that it is good for 6-12 months, and since my Erin turned 8 months , I know it is already good for her.

When I got home, I was ofcourse excited to give her my "pasalubong", I opened it and as a curious mom, I was the one who tried it first, (im sure im not the only one mom who does it)before I handed it to her a small piece. As i've taste it, it does really taste good. It's a little bit sweet and crunchy but when you mixed it in water it will easily softened and the texture would be like cerelac. But the taste is different ofcourse, hehe.

I am happy because my little one Erin likes it and same with my 3 year old son :-)

I am sure that the next time I will do my grocery, I will not forget to buy another box of "Bibibon".

First Aid Inside the house

I am a mother of a 3 years old boy and a 8 months old baby girl.  I always make sure that the house is clean and safe from harm. My husband and I kept away sharp things such as knife, scissors, hamer, mechanical tools, etc.
To make that possible we put it at the top of the cabinet where our kids won't be able to reach it especially our son. He is very curious in everything, no matter how we stop him doing things that might hurt him, he still going to do it. And we understood that having a toddler is not easy, he always test our patience. But sometimes when accidents happen it is advisable that each house  has a first aid kit.

In our house we always have these things:

But I guess I'm the only one whose using the Petroleum Jelly for my lips...

But these are the few stuff's that we have in our house, this are just the basics.

Be careful everyone!

Mother's Day (May 9)

Belated Happy Mother's Day to us!!!

Mother's love is uncondional...

When my mom is still with us, I remember that whenever I came home from school,  I always give her something on that special day....she would always say "Anak, sana hindi mo na ako binilhan nito, sayang lang pera mo, itinabi mo na lang sana para sayo"., I don't know if I should get disappointed because she never appreciated the effort I did'to buy her that (whatever it is) but still I ignored it. For me I just wanted it to give her something....this scene kept on going on and on until I had a job. She never get tired on saying that and I never get tired on buying her stuff's. There's one time (mother's day) I didn't had a money to buy something for her, since I lost my job, and I don't even have the means of having my own money, I felt so bad and sorry for myself for not giving her anything,...I went to her kiss and hug her tight and greeted her " ma, happy mother's day", she looked at me and told me " Hindi ko malilimutan itong araw na to, dahil sa akap at halik mo, ito ang pinaka magandang regalo binigay mo sakin" , I was shocked and stunned, and suddenly realize that of all those years and all those stuff's I gave her, only hug and kiss from me is what she was waiting for...

And now that she's gone, I won't be able to kiss her and hug her tight, only in my dreams...

Now for those of you who still has a mom physically, never be shy to kiss and hug her tight...
You wouldn't want that happen to you, won't you?

To my mom in heaven whose watching over us, HAPPY Mother's Day!!! I love you and I missed you.

Everybody meet my MOM AND MY DAD.
